Hi there! My name's Arienna Lee, I'm a 23 year old pen and ink artist living in Raleigh, North Carolina. I moved down here from the arctic wastelands known as Michigan about a year ago and I spend my time waiting tables to pay the rent and stumbling around with my sketchpad and pens clutched in my hot little hands. Raleigh's a wonderful place to live - there's mountains and ocean within driving distance, a fun group of fellow comic artists to hang out with and local NERO charpter to larp in. ^_^
My main art project is my autobiographical comic strip A World Like My Own, which has been published online since 2004. I also do various commission work, AWLMO merchandising, and I'm working hard and looking forward to the day when my pens can be my sole source of income. Right now I'm venturing into the wide world of comic conventions, hoping to get my name out there and meet some of my fans.
I come from a family of story-tellers. At any family gathering, you'll find us all grouped together in a quiet corner, telling the same old stories everyone's heard over and over again. My earliest memories are of stories and my whole life is about telling stories to other people. ^_^ Someday I hope to use my art to tell not just my funnier personal experiences, but to write stand-alone illustrated books.
